How to Make Skin Look Younger

Let's face it. If you want to know how to make skin look younger, you need to know what causes it to look older. Most skincare products do not address the primary causes of an aged appearance, so obviously, they are ineffective.

The primary causes of an aged appearance are free radical damage, reduced production of skin cells and elastic fibers and low levels of hyaluronic acid. Chronic inflammation also plays a role. There are creams that can help wit that, but avoiding chronic inflammation usually means changing the type of cosmetics and other skincare products that you use.

If a cleanser burns or stings, it is causing inflammation. If you regularly use exfoliants or face scrubs, you are damaging your skin's health and this will negatively affect your appearance, as time goes by. Ingredients that cause allergic reactions in some people are not safe for others to use, either. The big cosmetic companies have gotten away with including known toxins, allergens and irritants for years, by blaming adverse reactions on skin sensitivity, leading people to believe that it's their fault for having sensitive skin.

Since avoiding inflammation is a big part of how to make skin look younger, you need to avoid ingredients that are common allergens, toxins and irritants. They include petrolatum, mineral oil, paraffin, parabens, added fragrance, all artificial preservatives and all petrochemicals. The list of petrochemicals that are included in skincare products is too long to include in this article. The best way to find products that do not contain them is to look for all-natural ingredients.

No one knows why older skin has lower levels of hyaluronic acid, but we do know that enzymatic activity that breaks down the important compound increases with age. Extracts from wakame kelp have been shown to inhibit that enzymatic activity by 52% over the course of five days.

Many people have said that using wakame was how to make skin look younger and keep it beautiful. Now science has proven them correct.

When you look at yourself and you feel upset beyond belief, this is a sign of low self-esteem... regardless of whether or not you have a weight problem, you have to realize that so many people have the same problem, but need not suffer this way... and there are so many things you can do to help make yourself feel better everytime you feel depressed. that said, perhaps if i tell you more about how you may lose weight, you might cheer up a bit... :) losing weight may help make you feel better, but this may take time. you are asking for the fastest way to lose weight... and the fastest way may be a crash diet. but i don't recommend this at all, for although you may lose weight fast, you also GAIN weight as fast. you'll be putting yourself in cycles of weight loss and gain, and this may wreak havoc on your self-esteem instead of making you feel better. :/ you can't maintain an ideal weight having crash diets; you will be putting yourself under risk of malnutrition, and you will actually look at yourself in the mirror and regret punishing your body so... so if you want to lose weight and want to STAY healthy and maintain your ideal weight for a very LONG time, the best way to lose weight is still the doctor-recommended calorie-reduced balanced diet. according to Tanner's formula, your ideal weight (based on your height) is 98 lbs. this is not based on statistics showing that your body "looks good " at a certain weight; this is actually based on statistics that show how above a certain weight, your risk of having stroke, heart disease, hypertension, and diabetes becomes suddenly elevated... your ideal weight will actually permit for just enough "baby fat " in your cheeks and tummy and hips. :) the calorie-reduced balanced diet allows you to lose 1-2 lbs a week. what's good about this is that you don't have to starve yourself; you can actually eat ALL the food you crave for, but all in moderation (accdg to your caloric prescription). the details of this diet can't be discussed over this forum because it needs to be taught effectively in person, but you can go see your doctor and he/ she will be more than happy to help you. :) plus, your weight loss is SURE to happen, and since this diet is something you can use for the rest of your life, you won't have to gain weight ever again! :) using this diet, you can lose weight at a regulated pace, so your face and skin won't sag (compared to crash diets), your heart and other organs remain healthy, and you WILL feel better even when you haven't lost much weight yet, because you know you're doing something to show how much you LOVE your body. good luck! i know you can do it! whatever you do, don't be upset or stay up at night or be stressed about your weight (look at it this way: stress cranks up your steroid hormone release, which can make you gain MORE weight hehe). whenever you get depressed, think of all the things you have, the blessings you have in your life that make life worth living for. fight your depression! you are so much more than your weight! plus, your weight is something you can DO SOMETHING about; it is not a permanent fixture, so keep in mind that with an optimistic outlook and some patience, you won't have to be upset at all! stay happy, and i believe with your doctor's help, you'll be on your way to a healthier, happier you. :)

Healthy- diet & excercise. not healthy- anorexia/ bulimia. but i'm not recommending those, because as I already said, they are NOT healthy.

Bulimia seems to be pretty effective. as long as you don't mind the vomit degrading you teeth
