I mean they can tell if you floss or brush your teeth. Why don't they tell you that if you are not careful you will lose all of your teeth because of bad hygeine. Do they take a class on what not to say? Are they afaid that they will offend their patients and they will never come back?

Actually my dentist WILL tell you, no hesitation. He'll make you hold a mirror so you can see while he points out all the problem areas. Unfortunately there's absolutely no living up to his standards, he'll always find something wrong lol

You have to ask. When you go to a dentist or doctor they will tell you nothing unless you ask. This is why so many people have problems because they don't ask questions. Seriously.

Sorry, but it's kindof a no-brainer that if you don't take care of your teeth, you'll lose them. DUH!! I mean why does someone have to tell you that?? But for the record, my dentist tells me. The hygenist does anyway, she is always asking me about flossing, etc.

Do you really need a dentist to tell you that? Besides, they actually WANT you to lose your teeth, because if you lose em all they get to charge you big bucks to get you dentures or even, omg, individual implants! If you got an implant for every tooth it'd look great, but end up costing you more than your car lol.
