There are many factors that affect aging of the face. Sun exposure, care and environment are some, as is whether you are a smoker or a non smoker. Smokers tend to develope the lines around the mouth earlier and they become more pronounced quicker. The more you age, the more your face muscles sag, or lose their elasticity. This can be counteracted to a small extent with facial excercises, however gravity will still win out. You can also use a good moisterizer for your face- it helps to keep it hydrated which always helps one look younger. Stay out of the sun, whiten your teeth and SMILE!!!! You'll be surprised how much it will help. (I'm 46, follow my own advise and am always guessed to be at least 10 years younger than I am)

Staying out of the sun and never smiling. But why would you want to ....just use a decent moisturizer and accept a few wrinkles.

Aging in the face is mostly in the skin, not the muscles. Gravity, sun exposure, hormones are the primary causes the skin changes over time. You shouldn't expect much in the way of results from just exercising the underlying muscles.

My mom use to watch Richard Simmons and he use to have people say vowels out loud. When you say the vowels stretch your face as far as the letter will go. That is the only one I have heard of. Personally my thought is plenty of water to keep your skin moisturized.

Again, i have read this and i was very shocked to read it because people have been doing face exercises for many years.....it has been said that moving the face, making funny faces and doing anything with your face does not work and it makes the situation worse! So now, i don't do them...

As we age, we loss collagen, this is what keeps the skin elastic. Exercises don't solve this. Best solutions, stay out of the sun, sun block on your face and hands year round., keep smiling... even though lines will develop in those areas.... just like folding paper over and over again. You could get glysemic peels... this promotes collagen product. Controlled damage to the skin, this causes the skin to repair it self... and produces collagen in the process.
