How to Make Skin Look
Younger
Let's face it. If you want to know how to make skin look younger, you
need to know what causes it to look older. Most skincare products do not
address the primary causes of an aged appearance, so obviously, they are
ineffective.
The primary causes of an aged appearance are free radical damage,
reduced production of skin cells and elastic fibers and low levels of
hyaluronic acid. Chronic inflammation also plays a role. There are
creams that can help wit that, but avoiding chronic inflammation usually
means changing the type of cosmetics and other skincare products that
you use.
If a cleanser burns or stings, it is causing inflammation. If you
regularly use exfoliants or face scrubs, you are damaging your skin's
health and this will negatively affect your appearance, as time goes by.
Ingredients that cause allergic reactions in some people are not safe
for others to use, either. The big cosmetic companies have gotten away
with including known toxins, allergens and irritants for years, by
blaming adverse reactions on skin sensitivity, leading people to believe
that it's their fault for having sensitive skin.
Since avoiding inflammation is a big part of how to make skin look
younger, you need to avoid ingredients that are common allergens, toxins
and irritants. They include petrolatum, mineral oil, paraffin, parabens,
added fragrance, all artificial preservatives and all petrochemicals.
The list of petrochemicals that are included in skincare products is too
long to include in this article. The best way to find products that do
not contain them is to look for all-natural ingredients.
No one knows why older skin has lower levels of hyaluronic acid, but
we do know that enzymatic activity that breaks down the important
compound increases with age. Extracts from wakame kelp have been shown
to inhibit that enzymatic activity by 52% over the course of five days.
Many people have said that using wakame was how to make skin look
younger and keep it beautiful. Now science has proven them correct.

According to my doctor there isn't one magic "anti-aging " supplement and to look at feel younger you need take what he calls the essential 90 vitamins, minerals, amino acids and fatty acids. I take them and I do look and feel much better. Most of my aging complaints are gone (sore knees, creaking in the neck, back pain, etc.) and make sure what you are taking is extremely high in ORAC value which is how they measure anti-oxidants which, by the way, is the most likely cause of pre-mature aging and wrinkles. I take a wonderful all natural powdered drink mix with an ORAC of 5745 per serving. This can be purchased at youryoungevitystore.com, which is where I get mine. If you are looking for even more contact joanne@joanneconaway.com and she can tell you about some fantastic all natural, preservative free skin care products and a simple to use facial toning device. |

There is few of the old ones and one brand new which does slow down the shortening of telomeres causing the aging. A telomere is a region of repetitive DNA at the end of a chromosome, which protects the end of the chromosome from deterioration. e-mail me, if you are interested. |

The way you age is greatly determined by the way you live, and the amount of care you give your body! Herbal and homeopathic remedies have been used for centuries to nourish on a cellular level and promote vitality and vigor. A number of natural ingredients have been studied for their ability to support organs in the body – and thus discourage age-related complaints. One such ingredient is Aspalathus linearis (Rooibos) – an all round supportive tonic, and has powerful anti-oxidant properties, fighting free radicals due to its superoxide dismutase (SOD) mimetic properties. Grapeseed extract is a potent source of proanthocyanidins, or pycnogenols containing naturally occurring proanthocyanidins – a natural and powerful Antioxidant. Proanthocyanidins also have an affinity for cell membranes, providing support to reduce capillary permeability and fragility. If you have the money (about $25,000 to $35,000 spread over two years) and are willing to undergo the full four segments of the 'Patton Protocol' of pulsed TA-65 administration and consume many other helpful dietary supplements (antioxidants, N-acetylcysteine, alpha lipoic acid, lycopene, lutein, trimethylglycine [betaine HCl], CoQ10, L-Carnosine, EPA, DHA, etc.), the company believes that it can restore your cells to a youthful state. They are confident enough of its safety that all of their employees age 40 and over receive the Patton Protocol TA-65 treatment, named after the founder of T.A. Sciences, entrepreneur Noel Patton. Point of interest: Noel Patton takes twice the dosage of TA-65 per day as anybody else, in effect making him a human guinea pig for the supplement. Note that TA-65 isn’t an FDA approved treatment. Edit. The use of two accounts is prohibited. Who are you? Ralph or Kim P? And why are you asking the same question? |

Well if you saw the TV program the other night and I am sorry but cannot remember which channel or the name of the program but the conclusion really was that ageing is the product of the mind. Thus the saying "you are as young as you feel " really does have a bearing. This does not mean however that genetics and environment do not play a role....of course they do. Eat healthily in general, stay away from stress or at least find ways to de-stress.....meditation, prayer, yoga, tai chi, relaxing baths, etc, and take some supplements if you feel you need a little more. Dark-skinned fruits as a source of antioxidants, putting on a good sun-protection factor [SPF] whilst out in the sun, avoiding major pollutants [cigarette smoke, alcohol and environmental hazards] will also help. First and foremost be happy with your lot, though don't let that bar you from striving. Be grateful to God and be helpful to others. Respect yourself and respect others and nature itself. The herb Gotu kola, which is known to help stimulate healthy balanced collagen [isoforms] formation might be beneficial to you. Vitamin C [an antioxidant] is also a key nutrient for healthy collagen formation. Vitamin E is also a good antioxidant to take for general health. Omega 3 is a good all-round supplement for health. Moisturise your skin daily and use a mild exfoliating wash at least every 2-3 days to help with skin turnover. Keep well hydrated also as dehydration does not help the skin. Best wishes. |
